Reuben, Jacob’s firstborn.

⁹The sons of Reuben were

Hanok, Pallu, Hezron, and Karmi.

¹⁰The sons of Simeon were

Jemuel, Jamin, Ohad, Jakin, Zohar, and Shaul the son of a Canaanite woman.
