²⁴ Yet his bow remained steady,
and his strong arms were made agile
by the hands of the Mighty One of Jacob,^(A)
by the name of^[a] the Shepherd,^(B) the Rock of Israel,^(C)

² and how he swore an oath to the Lord,
making a vow to the Mighty One of Jacob:^(A)

⁵ until I find a place for the Lord,
a dwelling for the Mighty One of Jacob.”^(A)

¹⁶ You will nurse on the milk of nations,
and nurse at the breast of kings;^(A)
you will know that I, the Lord, am your Savior^(B)
and Redeemer,^(C) the Mighty One of Jacob.^(D)
