The Line of Seth

5 This is the document containing the family^[a] records^(A) of Adam.^[b] On the day that God created man,^[c] he made him in the likeness of God;

³ Adam was 130 years old when he fathered a son in his likeness, according to his image, and named him Seth.

²⁹ For those he foreknew he also predestined^(A) to be conformed to the image of his Son,^(B) so that he would be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters.^(C)

⁷ A man should not cover his head, because he is the image^(A) and glory of God.^(B) So too, woman is the glory of man.

⁴⁹ And just as we have borne the image^(A) of the man of dust, we will also bear the image of the man of heaven.^(B)

¹⁸ We all, with unveiled faces, are looking as in a mirror at^[a](A) the glory of the Lord^(B) and are being transformed^(C) into the same image^(D) from glory to glory; this is from the Lord who is the Spirit.^[b]

⁴ In their case, the god of this age^(A) has blinded the minds of the unbelievers to keep them from seeing the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ,^[a](B) who is the image of God.^(C)

²⁴ and to put on^[a](A) the new self, the one created^(B) according to God’s likeness^(C) in righteousness and purity of the truth.
