Joseph’s Death

22 Joseph and his father’s family remained in Egypt. Joseph lived 110 years. 23 He saw Ephraim’s sons to the third generation;(A) the sons of Manasseh’s son Machir were recognized by[a][b] Joseph.(B)

24 Joseph said to his brothers, “I am about to die,(C) but God will certainly come to your aid and bring you up from this land to the land he swore to give to Abraham,(D) Isaac,(E) and Jacob.”(F)

The Death of Joseph

22 Joseph stayed in Egypt, along with all his father’s family. He lived a hundred and ten years(A) 23 and saw the third generation(B) of Ephraim’s(C) children.(D) Also the children of Makir(E) son of Manasseh(F) were placed at birth on Joseph’s knees.[a](G)

24 Then Joseph said to his brothers, “I am about to die.(H) But God will surely come to your aid(I) and take you up out of this land to the land(J) he promised on oath to Abraham,(K) Isaac(L) and Jacob.”(M)
