22 Joseph remained in Egypt—he and his father’s household—and Joseph lived 110 years. 23 Joseph saw the third generation of Ephraim’s sons. Also the sons of Machir, Manasseh’s son, were born upon Joseph’s knees.

24 Then Joseph said to his brothers, “I’m about to die. But God will surely take notice of you and will bring you up from this land to the land that He swore to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob.”

The Death of Joseph

22 Joseph stayed in Egypt, along with all his father’s family. He lived a hundred and ten years(A) 23 and saw the third generation(B) of Ephraim’s(C) children.(D) Also the children of Makir(E) son of Manasseh(F) were placed at birth on Joseph’s knees.[a](G)
