²¹ The Lord ^(A)smelled the soothing aroma; and the Lord said ^[a]to Himself, “I will never again ^(B)curse the ground on account of man, for ^(C)the ^[b]intent of man’s heart is evil from his youth; ^(D)and I will never again ^[c]destroy every living thing, as I have done.

¹⁸ You shall offer up in smoke the whole ram on the altar; it is a burnt offering to the Lord: ^(A)it is a soothing aroma, an offering by fire to the Lord.

⁹ The priest then shall take up from the grain offering ^(A)its memorial portion, and shall offer it up in smoke on the altar as an offering by fire of a soothing aroma to the Lord.

^12 (A)As an offering of first fruits you shall bring them to the Lord, but they shall not ascend for a soothing aroma on the altar.
