¹⁸ On that day the Lord made a covenant with Abram, saying, “I give this land to your offspring,^(A) from the brook of Egypt^(B) to the Euphrates River:^[a]

²⁴ Every place the sole of your foot treads will be yours.^(A) Your territory will extend from the wilderness to Lebanon and from the Euphrates River^[a] to the Mediterranean Sea.^(B)

⁴⁴ The Lord gave them rest on every side according to all He had sworn to their fathers. None of their enemies were able to stand against them, for the Lord handed over all their enemies to them.

^21 [a]Solomon ruled over all the kingdoms from the Euphrates River to the land of the Philistines and as far as the border of Egypt.^(A) They offered tribute and served Solomon all the days of his life.^(B)
