¹⁸ Abraham is to become a great and powerful nation, and all the nations of the earth will be blessed through him.^(A)

¹⁸ And all the nations of the earth will be blessed^[a] by your offspring^(A) because you have obeyed my command.”

⁹ This city will bear on my behalf a name of joy, praise, and glory^(A) before all the nations of the earth, who will hear of all the prosperity I will give them. They will tremble with awe because of all the good and all the peace^(B) I will bring about for them.

³ On that day I will make Jerusalem a heavy stone for all the peoples; all who try to lift it will injure themselves severely when all the nations of the earth gather against her.^(A)
