Isaac Is Born^(A)

21 And the Lord ^(B)visited Sarah as He had said, and the Lord did for Sarah ^(C)as He had spoken.

³ For what does the Scripture say? ^(A)“Abraham believed God, and it was ^[a]accounted to him for righteousness.”

Abraham Justified Before Circumcision

⁹ Does this blessedness then come upon the circumcised only, or upon the uncircumcised also? For we say that faith was accounted to Abraham for righteousness.

²² And therefore ^(A)“it was accounted to him for righteousness.”

⁶ just as Abraham ^(A)“believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.”

²³ And the Scripture was fulfilled which says, ^(A)“Abraham believed God, and it was ^[a]accounted to him for righteousness.” And he was called ^(B)the friend of God.
