Jacob Deceived

¹³ When Laban heard the news about his sister’s son Jacob, he ran to meet him, hugged him, and kissed him. Then he took him to his house, and Jacob told him all that had happened.

⁴ But Esau ran to meet him, hugged him, threw his arms around him, and kissed him. Then they wept.^(A)

¹⁵ Joseph kissed each of his brothers as he wept,^[a] and afterward his brothers talked with him.

³³ Joab went to the king and told him. So David summoned Absalom, who came to the king and bowed down with his face to the ground before him. Then the king kissed Absalom.
