22 Then God remembered Rachel. He listened to her and opened her womb.(A) 23 She conceived and bore a son, and said, “God has taken away my shame.”(B) 24 She named him Joseph:[a] “May the Lord add another son to me.”(C)

Genesis 49:22-26

22 Joseph is a fruitful vine,
a fruitful vine beside a spring;
its branches[a] climb over the wall.[b]
23 The archers attacked him,
shot at him, and were hostile toward him.
24 Yet his bow remained steady,
and his strong[c] arms were made agile
by the hands of the Mighty One of Jacob,(A)
by the name of[d] the Shepherd,(B) the Rock of Israel,(C)
25 by the God of your father who helps you,
and by the Almighty who blesses you
with blessings of the heavens above,
blessings of the deep that lies below,
and blessings of the breasts and the womb.
26 The blessings of your father excel
the blessings of my ancestors[e]
and[f] the bounty of the eternal hills.[g](D)
May they rest on the head of Joseph,
on the crown of the prince of his brothers.
