²⁰ And be sure to say, ‘Your servant^(A) Jacob is coming behind us.’” For he thought, “I will pacify him with these gifts^(B) I am sending on ahead;^(C) later, when I see him, perhaps he will receive me.”^(D)

²⁰ Do not bring anything with a defect,^(A) because it will not be accepted on your behalf.^(B)

²⁷ “When a calf, a lamb or a goat^(A) is born, it is to remain with its mother for seven days.^(B) From the eighth day^(C) on, it will be acceptable^(D) as a food offering presented to the Lord.

¹¹ He is to wave the sheaf before the Lord^(A) so it will be accepted^(B) on your behalf; the priest is to wave it on the day after the Sabbath.
