Genesis 35:2
New International Version
2 So Jacob said to his household(A) and to all who were with him, “Get rid of the foreign gods(B) you have with you, and purify yourselves and change your clothes.(C)
Genesis 35:3
New International Version
3 Then come, let us go up to Bethel, where I will build an altar to God,(A) who answered me in the day of my distress(B) and who has been with me wherever I have gone.(C)”
Genesis 35:7
New International Version
7 There he built an altar,(A) and he called the place El Bethel,[a](B) because it was there that God revealed himself to him(C) when he was fleeing from his brother.(D)
