44 Then he commanded ^(A)the steward of his house, ^(B)“Fill the men's sacks with food, as much as they can carry, and put each man's money in the mouth of his sack,

⁴ They had gone only a short distance from the city. Now Joseph said to his ^(A)steward, “Up, follow after the men, and when you overtake them, say to them, ‘Why have you repaid evil for good?^[a]

² And Abraham said to his servant, ^(A)the oldest of his household, who had charge of all that he had, ^(B)“Put your hand under my thigh,

⁴ So Joseph ^(A)found favour in his sight and attended him, and he made him overseer of his house ^(B)and put him in charge of all that he had.
