¹⁷ On the contrary, he shall acknowledge the firstborn, the son of the ^[a]unloved wife, by giving him a double ^[b]portion of everything that ^[c]he owns, for he was the ^(A)beginning of his ^[d]strength; ^(B)to him belongs the right of the firstborn.

^3 (A)All things came into being through Him, and apart from Him ^[a]not even one thing came into being that has come into being.

¹⁸ He is also the ^(A)head of ^(B)the body, the church; and He is ^(C)the beginning, ^(D)the firstborn from the dead, so that He Himself will come to have first place in everything.

⁶ Then He said to me, “^[a](A)It is done. I am the ^(B)Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. ^(C)I will give water to the one who thirsts from the spring of the ^(D)water of life, without cost.

¹³ I am the ^(A)Alpha and the Omega, ^(B)the first and the last, ^(C)the beginning and the end.”
