³⁶ For ^(A)the Lord will vindicate^[a] his people
    ^(B)and have compassion on his servants,
when he sees that their power is gone
    and there is none remaining, ^(C)bond or free.

⁴⁵ For their sake he ^(A)remembered his covenant,
    and ^(B)relented according to ^(C)the abundance of his steadfast love.

^19 (A)God is not man, that he should lie,
    or a son of man, that he should change his mind.
Has he said, and will he not do it?
    Or has he spoken, and will he not fulfil it?
