Habakkuk 1:13-15
Legacy Standard Bible
13 Your eyes are too (A)pure to see evil,
And You cannot look on trouble.
Why do You (B)look
On those who deal (C)treacherously?
Why are You (D)silent when the wicked (E)swallow up
Those more righteous than they?
14 And You have made men like the fish of the sea,
Like creeping things without a ruler over them.
15 The Chaldeans (F)bring all of them up with a hook,
(G)Drag them away with their net,
And gather them together in their fishing net.
Therefore they are glad and rejoice.
Habakkuk 1:13-15
New International Version
13 Your eyes are too pure(A) to look on evil;
you cannot tolerate wrongdoing.(B)
Why then do you tolerate(C) the treacherous?(D)
Why are you silent while the wicked
swallow up those more righteous than themselves?(E)
14 You have made people like the fish in the sea,
like the sea creatures that have no ruler.
15 The wicked(F) foe pulls all of them up with hooks,(G)
he catches them in his net,(H)
he gathers them up in his dragnet;
and so he rejoices and is glad.
