New Life Version
4 The Law is not followed. What is right is never done. For the sinful are all around those who are right and good, so what is right looks like sin.
The Lord’s Answer
5 “Look among the nations, and see! Be surprised and full of wonder! For I am doing something in your days that you would not believe if you were told. 6 I am bringing the Babylonians to power. They are people filled with anger who go across the whole earth to take homes that are not theirs.

New International Version
4 Therefore the law(A) is paralyzed,
and justice never prevails.
The wicked hem in the righteous,
so that justice(B) is perverted.(C)
The Lord’s Answer
5 “Look at the nations and watch—
and be utterly amazed.(D)
For I am going to do something in your days
that you would not believe,
even if you were told.(E)
6 I am raising up the Babylonians,[a](F)
that ruthless and impetuous people,
who sweep across the whole earth(G)
to seize dwellings not their own.(H)
