At the sound, my lips quivered.
Decay enters my (B)bones,
And in my place I tremble;
Because I [b]must (C)wait quietly for the day of distress,
[c]For the (D)people to arise who will attack us.
17 Even if the (E)fig tree does not blossom,
And there is no [d]fruit on the vines,
If the yield of the (F)olive fails,
And the fields produce no food,
Even if the (G)flock disappears from the fold,
And there are (H)no cattle in the stalls,
18 Yet I will (I)triumph in the Lord,
I will (J)rejoice in the (K)God of my salvation.
19 The Lord [e]God is my (L)strength,
And (M)He has made my feet like deer’s feet,
And has me walk on my (N)high places.

For the choir director, on my stringed instruments.
