The Voice
5 Think very carefully about your choices. 6 You have planted a large crop, but your harvest is small. You have food to eat, but it is never enough to satisfy. You have something to drink, but you are never filled. You have clothes to wear, but they are not enough to keep you warm. You earn a salary, but the money runs out quickly, as if there are holes in your pocket.
7 Think very carefully about your choices.
Haggai 1:5-7
New International Version
5 Now this is what the Lord Almighty says: “Give careful thought(A) to your ways. 6 You have planted much, but harvested little.(B) You eat, but never have enough.(C) You drink, but never have your fill.(D) You put on clothes, but are not warm. You earn wages,(E) only to put them in a purse with holes in it.”
7 This is what the Lord Almighty says: “Give careful thought(F) to your ways.
