Haggai 2:16-18

16 you recalled what life was like in the past.[a] When you wanted 200 kilograms of wheat, there were only 10, and when you wanted 50 jars of wine, there were only 20. 17 I made all of your hard work useless by sending mildew, mold, and hail—but you still did not return to me, your Lord.
18 Today you have completed the foundation for my temple, so listen to what your future will be like.

16 When anyone came to a heap(A) of twenty measures, there were only ten. When anyone went to a wine vat(B) to draw fifty measures, there were only twenty.(C) 17 I struck all the work of your hands(D) with blight,(E) mildew and hail,(F) yet you did not return(G) to me,’ declares the Lord.(H) 18 ‘From this day on, from this twenty-fourth day of the ninth month, give careful thought(I) to the day when the foundation(J) of the Lord’s temple was laid.
