Zerubbabel the Lord’s Signet Ring

20 The word of the Lord came to Haggai(A) a second time on the twenty-fourth day of the month:(B) 21 “Tell Zerubbabel(C) governor of Judah that I am going to shake(D) the heavens and the earth. 22 I will overturn(E) royal thrones and shatter the power of the foreign kingdoms.(F) I will overthrow chariots(G) and their drivers; horses and their riders(H) will fall, each by the sword of his brother.(I)

He answered, “Do you not know what these are?”

“No, my lord,” I replied.(A)

So he said to me, “This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel:(B) ‘Not(C) by might nor by power,(D) but by my Spirit,’(E) says the Lord Almighty.

Then the word of the Lord came to me: “The hands of Zerubbabel have laid the foundation(I) of this temple; his hands will also complete it.(J) Then you will know that the Lord Almighty has sent me(K) to you.

11 Then I asked the angel, “What are these two olive trees(P) on the right and the left of the lampstand?”

12 Again I asked him, “What are these two olive branches beside the two gold pipes that pour out golden oil?”

13 He replied, “Do you not know what these are?”

“No, my lord,” I said.

14 So he said, “These are the two who are anointed(Q) to[b] serve the Lord of all the earth.”
