Hebrews 10:26-28 Lexham English Bible (LEB)

A Serious Warning Against Continuing Deliberate Sin

26 For if[a] we keep on sinning deliberately after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, 27 but a certain fearful expectation of judgment and a fury of fire that is about to consume the adversaries. 28 Anyone who rejected the law of Moses dies without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses.

Footnotes:

  1. Hebrews 10:26 Here “if” is supplied as a component of the conditional genitive absolute participle (“keep on sinning”)

Hebrews 10:26-28 New International Version (NIV)

26 If we deliberately keep on sinning after we have received the knowledge of the truth, no sacrifice for sins is left, 27 but only a fearful expectation of judgment and of raging fire that will consume the enemies of God. 28 Anyone who rejected the law of Moses died without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses.
