“If you hear his voice today,
don't be stubborn
like those who rebelled.”

¹⁵As has just been said:

“Today, if you hear his voice,
do not harden your hearts
as you did in the rebellion.”^[a]^(A)

⁷^(A) Much later God told David to make the promise again, just as I have already said,

“If you hear his voice today,
don't be stubborn!”

⁷God again set a certain day, calling it “Today.” This he did when a long time later he spoke through David, as in the passage already quoted:

“Today, if you hear his voice,
do not harden your hearts.”^[a]^(A)
