6 But Christ is as the Son, over his own house, [a]whose [b]house we are, if we hold fast that [c]confidence and that rejoicing of that hope unto the end.

8 Harden not your hearts, as in the [e]provocation, according to the day of the temptation in the wilderness,

6 But Christ is faithful as the Son(A) over God’s house. And we are his house,(B) if indeed we hold firmly(C) to our confidence and the hope(D) in which we glory.

“Today, if you hear his voice,
8 do not harden your hearts(F)
as you did in the rebellion,
during the time of testing in the wilderness,
