GOD’S WORD Translation
4 Somewhere in Scripture God has said this about the seventh day: “On the seventh day God rested from all his work.”
5 God also said in the same passage, “They will never enter my place of rest.” 6 However, some people enter that place of rest. Those who heard the Good News in the past did not enter God’s place of rest because they did not obey God.

4 For somewhere he has spoken about the seventh day in these words: “On the seventh day God rested from all his works.”[a](A) 5 And again in the passage above he says, “They shall never enter my rest.”(B)
6 Therefore since it still remains for some to enter that rest, and since those who formerly had the good news proclaimed to them did not go in because of their disobedience,(C)
