¹⁴ Therefore, since we have a great ^(A)high priest who has ^(B)passed through the heavens, Jesus ^(C)the Son of God, let’s hold firmly to our ^(D)confession. ¹⁵ For we do not have ^(E)a high priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but One who has been ^(F)tempted in all things just as we are, yet ^(G)without sin. ¹⁶ Therefore let’s ^(H)approach the throne of grace with ^(I)confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace for help at the time of our need.

²³ This is what the Lord says: “^(A)Let no wise man boast of his wisdom, nor let the ^(B)mighty man boast of his might, nor a ^(C)rich man boast of his riches; ²⁴ but let the one who boasts ^(D)boast of this, that he understands and knows Me, that I am the Lord who ^(E)exercises ^[a]mercy, justice, and righteousness on the earth; for I ^(F)delight in these things,” declares the Lord.

¹⁷ and if children, ^(A)heirs also, heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, ^(B)if indeed we suffer with Him so that we may also be glorified with Him.

A New and Living Way

¹⁹ Therefore, brothers and sisters, since we ^(A)have confidence to ^(B)enter the holy place by the blood of Jesus, ²⁰ by ^(C)a new and living way which He inaugurated for us through ^(D)the veil, that is, through His flesh, ²¹ and since we have ^(E)a great priest ^(F)over the house of God, ²² let’s ^(G)approach God with a ^[a]sincere heart in ^(H)full assurance of faith, having our hearts ^(I)sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies ^(J)washed with pure water.
