Hebrews 6:17-18

17 [a]In the same way God, desiring even more to demonstrate to (A)the heirs of the promise [b](B)the fact that His purpose is unchangeable, [c]confirmed it with an oath, 18 so that by two unchangeable things in which (C)it is impossible for God to lie, we who have taken refuge would have strong encouragement to hold firmly to (D)the hope set before us.

17 Because God wanted to make the unchanging(A) nature of his purpose very clear to the heirs of what was promised,(B) he confirmed it with an oath. 18 God did this so that, by two unchangeable things in which it is impossible for God to lie,(C) we who have fled to take hold of the hope(D) set before us may be greatly encouraged.
