Hebrews 7:16-18

16 who has been made, not after the law of a fleshly commandment, but after the power of an endless life; 17 for it is testified,

“You are a priest forever,
    according to the order of Melchizedek.”Psalm 110:4

18 For there is an annulling of a foregoing commandment because of its weakness and uselessness

16 one who has become a priest not on the basis of a regulation as to his ancestry but on the basis of the power of an indestructible life. 17 For it is declared:

“You are a priest forever,
