2 He also serves as the priest in the most holy place[a] inside the real tent there in heaven. This tent of worship was set up by the Lord, not by humans.
3 Since all priests must offer gifts and sacrifices, Christ also needed to have something to offer. 4 If he were here on earth, he would not be a priest at all, because here the Law appoints other priests to offer sacrifices.

2 and who serves in the sanctuary, the true tabernacle(A) set up by the Lord, not by a mere human being.
3 Every high priest(B) is appointed to offer both gifts and sacrifices,(C) and so it was necessary for this one also to have something to offer.(D) 4 If he were on earth, he would not be a priest, for there are already priests who offer the gifts prescribed by the law.(E)
