10 Israel is a luxuriant vine
    that yields its fruit.
The more his fruit increased,
    the more altars he built;
as his country improved,
    he improved his pillars.^(A)

⁶ When I fed^[a] them, they were satisfied;
    they were satisfied, and their heart was proud;
    therefore they forgot me.^(A)

¹⁶ You will be sated with contempt instead of glory.
    Drink, you yourself, and stagger!^[a]
The cup in the Lord’s right hand
    will come around to you,
    and shame will come upon your glory!^(A)
