3 Therefore they shall be (A)like the morning mist
    or (B)like the dew that goes early away,
(C)like the chaff that swirls from the threshing floor
    or (D)like smoke from a window.

4 But (E)I am the Lord your God
    from the land of Egypt;
(F)you know no God but me,
    and (G)besides me there is no savior.
5 (H)It was I who knew you in the wilderness,
    in the land of drought;

    like the early dew that disappears,(A)
    like chaff(B) swirling from a threshing floor,(C)
    like smoke(D) escaping through a window.

4 “But I have been the Lord your God
    ever since you came out of Egypt.(E)
You shall acknowledge(F) no God but me,(G)
    no Savior(H) except me.
5 I cared for you in the wilderness,(I)
    in the land of burning heat.
