Hosea 5:3-5

3 I know Ephraim,(A)
and Israel is not hidden from Me.
For now, Ephraim,(B)
you have acted promiscuously;
Israel is defiled.
4 Their actions do not allow them
to return to their God,(C)
for a spirit of promiscuity is among them,(D)
and they do not know the Lord.(E)
5 Israel’s arrogance testifies against them.[a](F)
Both Israel and Ephraim stumble
because of their wickedness;(G)
even Judah will stumble with them.(H)

3 I know all about Ephraim;
    Israel is not hidden(A) from me.
Ephraim, you have now turned to prostitution;
    Israel is corrupt.(B)

4 “Their deeds do not permit them
    to return(C) to their God.
A spirit of prostitution(D) is in their heart;
    they do not acknowledge(E) the Lord.
5 Israel’s arrogance testifies(F) against them;
    the Israelites, even Ephraim, stumble(G) in their sin;
    Judah also stumbles with them.(H)
