⁵ Israel’s arrogance testifies^(A) against them;
    the Israelites, even Ephraim, stumble^(B) in their sin;
    Judah also stumbles with them.^(C)
6 When they go with their flocks and herds
    to seek the Lord,^(D)
they will not find him;
    he has withdrawn^(E) himself from them.
⁷ They are unfaithful^(F) to the Lord;
    they give birth to illegitimate^(G) children.
When they celebrate their New Moon feasts,^(H)
    he will devour^[a](I) their fields.
