⁶For I desire mercy, not sacrifice,^(A)
and acknowledgment^(B) of God rather than burnt offerings.^(C)

⁴I have been Yahweh your God^(A)
ever since^[a] the land of Egypt;
you know no God but Me,^(B)
and no Savior exists besides Me.^(C)

⁴“But I have been the Lord your God
ever since you came out of Egypt.^(A)
You shall acknowledge^(B) no God but me,^(C)
no Savior^(D) except me.
