2 And the revolters have deepened their slaughter, and I will be musar (punishment; see regarding Moshiach, Isa.53:5) of them all.

3 I know Ephrayim, and Yisroel is not hid from Me; for now, O Ephrayim, thou committest whoredom, and Yisroel is tameh (unclean, defiled).

4 Their doings do not permit them to turn unto Eloheihem; for the ruach zenunim is in the midst of them, and they have not known Hashem.

2 The rebels are knee-deep in slaughter.(A)
    I will discipline all of them.(B)
3 I know all about Ephraim;
    Israel is not hidden(C) from me.
Ephraim, you have now turned to prostitution;
    Israel is corrupt.(D)

4 “Their deeds do not permit them
    to return(E) to their God.
A spirit of prostitution(F) is in their heart;
    they do not acknowledge(G) the Lord.
