15 Truly You are God, (A)who hide Yourself,
O God of Israel, the Savior!
16 They shall be (B)ashamed
And also disgraced, all of them;
They shall go in confusion together,
Who are makers of idols.
17 (C)But Israel shall be saved by the Lord
With an (D)everlasting salvation;
You shall not be ashamed or (E)disgraced
Forever and ever.
18 For thus says the Lord,
(F)Who created the heavens,
Who is God,
Who formed the earth and made it,
Who has established it,
Who did not create it [a]in vain,
Who formed it to be (G)inhabited:
(H)“I am the Lord, and there is no other.
19 I have not spoken in (I)secret,
In a dark place of the earth;
I did not say to the seed of Jacob,
‘Seek Me [b]in vain’;
(J)I, the Lord, speak righteousness,
I declare things that are right.
20 “Assemble yourselves and come;
Draw near together,
You who have escaped from the nations.
(K)They have no knowledge,
Who carry the wood of their carved image,
And pray to a god that cannot save.
21 Tell and bring forth your case;
Yes, let them take counsel together.
(L)Who has declared this from ancient time?
Who has told it from that time?
Have not I, the Lord?
(M)And there is no other God besides Me,
A just God and a Savior;
There is none besides Me.
22 “Look to Me, and be saved,
(N)All you ends of the earth!
For I am God, and there is no other.
23 (O)I have sworn by Myself;
The word has gone out of My mouth in righteousness,
And shall not return,
That to Me every (P)knee shall bow,
(Q)Every tongue shall take an oath.
24 He shall say,
[c]‘Surely in the Lord I have (R)righteousness and strength.
To Him men shall come,
And (S)all shall be ashamed
Who are incensed against Him.
25 (T)In the Lord all the descendants of Israel
Shall be justified, and (U)shall glory.’ ”

17 Israel has been saved by the Lord

You (F)will not be put to shame or humiliated
To all eternity.
18 For this is what the Lord says, He who (G)created the heavens (He is the God who (H)formed the earth and made it, He established it and did not create it [a]as a (I)waste place, but formed it to be (J)inhabited):
“I am the Lord, and (K)there is no one else.
19 (L)I have not spoken in secret,
In [b]some dark land;
I did not say to the [c](M)offspring of Jacob,
‘(N)Seek Me in [d]a wasteland’;
I, the Lord, (O)speak righteousness,
(P)Declaring things that are right.
20 “(Q)Gather yourselves and come;
Come together, you survivors of the nations!
(R)They have no knowledge,
Who (S)carry around [e]their wooden idol
And (T)pray to a god who cannot save.
21 (U)Declare and present your case;
Indeed, let them consult together.
(V)Who has announced this long ago?
Who has long since declared it?
Is it not I, the Lord?
And there is (W)no other God besides Me,
A righteous God and a (X)Savior;
There is none except Me.
22 (Y)Turn to Me and (Z)be saved, all the ends of the earth;
For I am God, and there is no other.
23 (AA)I have sworn by Myself;
The (AB)word has gone out from My mouth in righteousness
And will not turn back,
That to Me (AC)every knee will bow, every tongue will (AD)swear allegiance.
24 They will say of Me, ‘Only (AE)in the Lord are righteousness and strength.’
People will come to Him,
And (AF)all who were angry at Him will be put to shame.
25 In the Lord all the offspring of Israel
Will be (AG)justified and will (AH)boast.”

You will not be put to shame or humiliated

18 For the Lord, who created the heavens [a](He is God, who formed the earth and made it; He established it and did not create it to be a wasteland, but formed it to be inhabited) says this,
“I am the Lord, and there is no one else.
19
“I have not spoken in secret,
In a corner of a land of darkness;
I did not say to the descendants of Jacob,
‘Seek Me in vain [with no benefit for yourselves].’
I, the Lord, speak righteousness [the truth—trustworthy, a straightforward correlation between deeds and words],
Declaring things that are upright.(B)

“Assemble yourselves and come;
Come together, you survivors of the nations!
They are ignorant,
Who carry around their wooden idols [in religious processions or into battle]
And keep on praying to a god that cannot save them.
21
“Declare and present your defense of idols;
Indeed, let them consult together.
Who announced this [rise of Cyrus and his conquests] long before it happened?
Who declared it long ago?
Was it not I, the Lord?
And there is no other God besides Me,
A [consistently and uncompromisingly] just and righteous God and a Savior;
There is none except Me.

“Turn to Me and be saved, all the ends of the earth;
For I am God, and there is no other.
23
“I have sworn [an oath] by Myself,
The word is gone out of My mouth in righteousness
And shall not return,
That to Me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear [allegiance].(C)
24
“It shall be said of Me, ‘Only in the Lord are righteousness and strength.’
To Him people will come,
And all who were angry at Him will be put to shame.(D)
25
“In the Lord all the offspring of Israel
Will be justified (declared free of guilt) and will glory [in God].”

the God and Savior(B) of Israel.
16 All the makers of idols will be put to shame and disgraced;(C)
they will go off into disgrace together.
17 But Israel will be saved(D) by the Lord
with an everlasting salvation;(E)
you will never be put to shame or disgraced,(F)
to ages everlasting.
18 For this is what the Lord says—
he who created the heavens,
he is God;
he who fashioned and made the earth,(G)
he founded it;
he did not create it to be empty,(H)
but formed it to be inhabited(I)—
he says:
“I am the Lord,
and there is no other.(J)
19 I have not spoken in secret,(K)
from somewhere in a land of darkness;(L)
I have not said to Jacob’s descendants,(M)
‘Seek(N) me in vain.’
I, the Lord, speak the truth;
I declare what is right.(O)
20 “Gather together(P) and come;
assemble, you fugitives from the nations.
Ignorant(Q) are those who carry(R) about idols of wood,
who pray to gods that cannot save.(S)
21 Declare what is to be, present it—
let them take counsel together.
Who foretold(T) this long ago,
who declared it from the distant past?(U)
Was it not I, the Lord?
And there is no God apart from me,(V)
a righteous God(W) and a Savior;(X)
there is none but me.
22 “Turn(Y) to me and be saved,(Z)
all you ends of the earth;(AA)
for I am God, and there is no other.(AB)
23 By myself I have sworn,(AC)
my mouth has uttered in all integrity(AD)
a word that will not be revoked:(AE)
Before me every knee will bow;(AF)
by me every tongue will swear.(AG)
24 They will say of me, ‘In the Lord alone
are deliverance(AH) and strength.(AI)’”
All who have raged against him
will come to him and be put to shame.(AJ)
25 But all the descendants(AK) of Israel
will find deliverance(AL) in the Lord
and will make their boast in him.(AM)

15 Verily thou art a God that hidest thyself, O God of Israel, the Saviour.
16 They shall be ashamed, and also confounded, all of them: they shall go to confusion together that are makers of idols.
17 But Israel shall be saved in the Lord with an everlasting salvation: ye shall not be ashamed nor confounded world without end.
18 For thus saith the Lord that created the heavens; God himself that formed the earth and made it; he hath established it, he created it not in vain, he formed it to be inhabited: I am the Lord; and there is none else.
19 I have not spoken in secret, in a dark place of the earth: I said not unto the seed of Jacob, Seek ye me in vain: I the Lord speak righteousness, I declare things that are right.
20 Assemble yourselves and come; draw near together, ye that are escaped of the nations: they have no knowledge that set up the wood of their graven image, and pray unto a god that cannot save.
21 Tell ye, and bring them near; yea, let them take counsel together: who hath declared this from ancient time? who hath told it from that time? have not I the Lord? and there is no God else beside me; a just God and a Saviour; there is none beside me.
22 Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else.
23 I have sworn by myself, the word is gone out of my mouth in righteousness, and shall not return, That unto me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear.
24 Surely, shall one say, in the Lord have I righteousness and strength: even to him shall men come; and all that are incensed against him shall be ashamed.
25 In the Lord shall all the seed of Israel be justified, and shall glory.
