Isaiah 26:7-15

New International Version

⁷The path of the righteous is level;^(A)
    you, the Upright One,^(B) make the way of the righteous smooth.^(C)
⁸Yes, Lord, walking in the way of your laws,^[a]^(D)
    we wait^(E) for you;
your name^(F) and renown
    are the desire of our hearts.
⁹My soul yearns for you in the night;^(G)
    in the morning my spirit longs^(H) for you.
When your judgments^(I) come upon the earth,
    the people of the world learn righteousness.^(J)
¹⁰But when grace is shown to the wicked,^(K)
    they do not learn righteousness;
even in a land of uprightness they go on doing evil^(L)
    and do not regard^(M) the majesty of the Lord.
¹¹Lord, your hand is lifted high,^(N)
    but they do not see^(O) it.
Let them see your zeal^(P) for your people and be put to shame;^(Q)
    let the fire^(R) reserved for your enemies consume them.

¹²Lord, you establish peace^(S) for us;
    all that we have accomplished you have done^(T) for us.
¹³Lord our God, other lords^(U) besides you have ruled over us,
    but your name^(V) alone do we honor.^(W)
¹⁴They are now dead,^(X) they live no more;
    their spirits^(Y) do not rise.
You punished them and brought them to ruin;^(Z)
    you wiped out all memory of them.^(AA)
¹⁵You have enlarged the nation, Lord;
    you have enlarged the nation.^(AB)
You have gained glory for yourself;
    you have extended all the borders^(AC) of the land.
