¹¹ “^(A)What are your multiplied sacrifices to Me?”
Says Yahweh.
“I ^[a]have had enough of burnt offerings of rams
And the fat of fed cattle;
And in the blood of bulls, lambs, or goats ^[b]I take no pleasure.
¹² When you come ^(B)to appear before Me,
Who requires ^[c]of you this trampling of My courts?
¹³ Bring your worthless offerings no longer,
^(C)Incense is an abomination to Me.
^(D)New moon and sabbath, the ^(E)calling of convocation—
I cannot ^(F)endure wickedness and the solemn assembly.
¹⁴ My soul hates your new moon festivals and your ^(G)appointed times,
They have become a burden to Me;
I am ^(H)weary of bearing them.
¹⁵ So when you ^(I)spread out your hands in prayer,
^(J)I will hide My eyes from you;
Indeed, even though you ^(K)multiply prayers,
I will not listen.
^(L)Your hands are full of blood.

¹⁶ “^(M)Wash yourselves, ^(N)purify yourselves;
^(O)Remove the evil of your deeds from before My eyes.
^(P)Cease to do evil,

³ “But he who slaughters an ox is the one who strikes down a man;
He who sacrifices a lamb is the one who breaks a dog’s neck;
He who offers a grain offering is the one who offers ^(A)swine’s blood;
He who ^(B)offers a memorial offering of frankincense is the one who blesses wickedness.
As they have chosen their ^(C)own ways,
And their soul takes pleasure in their ^(D)detestable things,

⁴ “Enter Bethel and transgress;
In Gilgal multiply transgression!
^(A)Bring your sacrifices every morning,
Your tithes every three days.
^5 [a]And offer a ^(B)thank offering also from that which is leavened,
And call for ^(C)freewill offerings; cause them to be heard about.
For so you ^(D)love to do, you sons of Israel,”
Declares Lord Yahweh.

¹⁰ Then I will ^(A)overturn your feasts into mourning
And all your songs into ^[a]lamentation;
And I will bring up ^(B)sackcloth on everyone’s loins
And baldness on every head.
And I will make it ^(C)like a time of mourning for an only son,
And the end of it will be like a bitter day.
