Isaiah 1:25-27

International Standard Version

²⁵When I turn^[a] my attention to you,^[b]
    I’ll refine your dross as in a furnace.^[c]
        I’ll remove^[d] all your alloy.
²⁶Let me restore^[e] your judges as at the first,
    and your counselors as at the beginning.
Afterward you’ll be called ‘The Righteous City’
    and ‘The Faithful City of Zion’.^[f]

²⁷“Zion^[g] will be redeemed by justice,
and her repentant ones^[h] by righteousness.

New International Version

²⁵I will turn my hand against you;^[a]^(A)
    I will thoroughly purge^(B) away your dross^(C)
    and remove all your impurities.^(D)
²⁶I will restore your leaders as in days of old,^(E)
    your rulers as at the beginning.
Afterward you will be called^(F)
    the City of Righteousness,^(G)
    the Faithful City.^(H)”

²⁷Zion will be delivered with justice,
her penitent^(I) ones with righteousness.^(J)
