Isaiah 1:3-5

³An ox knows its owner,
And a donkey its master’s manger,
But Israel ^(A)does not know,
My people ^(B)do not understand.”

⁴Oh, sinful nation,
People weighed down with guilt,
^[a]^(C)Offspring of evildoers,
Sons who ^(D)act corruptly!
They have ^(E)abandoned the Lord,
They have ^(F)despised the Holy One of Israel,
They have turned away ^[b]from Him.

⁵Where will you be stricken again,
As you ^(G)continue in your rebellion?
The entire head is ^(H)sick
And the entire heart is faint.
