Isaiah 10:23-25
Contemporary English Version

23 The Lord All-Powerful has promised that everyone on this earth[a] will be punished.

24 Now the Lord God All-Powerful says to his people in Jerusalem:

The Assyrians will beat you with sticks and abuse you, just as the Egyptians did. But don't be afraid of them. 25 Soon I will stop being angry with you, and I will punish them for their crimes.[b]

New International Version

23 The Lord, the Lord Almighty, will carry out
    the destruction decreed(A) upon the whole land.(B)

24 Therefore this is what the Lord, the Lord Almighty, says:

“My people who live in Zion,(C)
    do not be afraid(D) of the Assyrians,
who beat(E) you with a rod(F)
    and lift up a club against you, as Egypt did.
25 Very soon(G) my anger against you will end
    and my wrath(H) will be directed to their destruction.(I)”
