Good News Translation

23 Yes, throughout the whole country the Sovereign Lord Almighty will bring destruction, as he said he would.

24 The Sovereign Lord Almighty says to his people who live in Zion, “Do not be afraid of the Assyrians, even though they oppress you as the Egyptians used to do. 25 In only a little while I will finish punishing you, and then I will destroy them.

New International Version

23 The Lord, the Lord Almighty, will carry out
    the destruction decreed(A) upon the whole land.(B)

24 Therefore this is what the Lord, the Lord Almighty, says:

“My people who live in Zion,(C)
    do not be afraid(D) of the Assyrians,
who beat(E) you with a rod(F)
    and lift up a club against you, as Egypt did.
25 Very soon(G) my anger against you will end
    and my wrath(H) will be directed to their destruction.(I)”
