Isaiah 10:24-26
Easy-to-Read Version

24 The Lord God All-Powerful says, “My people living in Zion, don’t be afraid of Assyria! Yes, he will beat you, and it will be just as the time when Egypt beat you with a stick. 25 But after a short time my anger will stop. I will be satisfied that Assyria has punished you enough.”

26 Then the Lord All-Powerful will beat Assyria with a whip, just as he defeated Midian at Raven Rock.[a] He will punish his enemies, as he did when he raised his stick over the sea[b] and led his people from Egypt.

New International Version

24 Therefore this is what the Lord, the Lord Almighty, says:

“My people who live in Zion,(A)
    do not be afraid(B) of the Assyrians,
who beat(C) you with a rod(D)
    and lift up a club against you, as Egypt did.
25 Very soon(E) my anger against you will end
    and my wrath(F) will be directed to their destruction.(G)”

26 The Lord Almighty will lash(H) them with a whip,
    as when he struck down Midian(I) at the rock of Oreb;
and he will raise his staff(J) over the waters,(K)
    as he did in Egypt.
