¹⁰ Then on that day
The ^(A)nations will resort to the ^(B)root of Jesse,
Who will stand as a ^(C)signal flag for the peoples;
And His ^(D)resting place will be ^[a]glorious.

¹⁷ And the ^(A)work of righteousness will be peace,
And the service of righteousness, ^(B)quietness and ^[a]confidence forever.
¹⁸ Then my people will live in a ^(C)peaceful settlement,
In secure dwellings, and in undisturbed ^(D)resting places;

¹⁶ This is what the Lord says:
“Stand by the ways and see and ask for the ^(A)ancient paths,
Where the good way is, and walk in it;
Then ^(B)you will find a resting place for your souls.
But they said, ‘We will not walk in it.’
