¹³ Therefore I will make the heavens tremble;^(A)
    and the earth will shake^(B) from its place
at the wrath^(C) of the Lord Almighty,
    in the day of his burning anger.^(D)

⁶ Lift up your eyes to the heavens,
    look at the earth beneath;
the heavens will vanish like smoke,^(A)
    the earth will wear out like a garment^(B)
    and its inhabitants die like flies.
But my salvation^(C) will last forever,^(D)
    my righteousness will never fail.^(E)

⁷ When I snuff you out, I will cover the heavens
    and darken their stars;
I will cover the sun with a cloud,
    and the moon will not give its light.^(A)
8 All the shining lights in the heavens
    I will darken^(B) over you;
    I will bring darkness over your land,^(C)
declares the Sovereign Lord.
