Isaiah 13:16-18
New English Translation

16 Their children will be smashed to pieces before their very eyes;
their houses will be looted
and their wives raped.
17 Look, I am stirring up the Medes to attack them;[a]
they are not concerned about silver,
nor are they interested in gold.[b]
18 Their arrows will cut young men to ribbons;[c]
they have no compassion on a person’s offspring;[d]
they will not[e] look with pity on children.

    their houses will be looted and their wives violated.(B)

17 See, I will stir up(C) against them the Medes,(D)
    who do not care for silver
    and have no delight in gold.(E)
18 Their bows(F) will strike down the young men;(G)
    they will have no mercy(H) on infants,
    nor will they look with compassion on children.(I)
