⁶ Wail, for the ^(A)day of the Lord is near!
It will come as ^(B)destruction from ^[a]the Almighty.

⁴ Say to those with ^(A)anxious heart,
“Take courage, fear not.
Behold, your God will come with ^(B)vengeance;
The ^(C)retribution of God will come,
But He will ^(D)save you.”

³ Your ^(A)nakedness will be uncovered,
Your shame will also be exposed;
I will ^(B)take vengeance and will not spare anyone.”

² To ^(A)proclaim the favorable year of the Lord
And the ^(B)day of vengeance of our God;
To ^(C)comfort all who mourn,

⁴ For the ^(A)day of vengeance was in My heart,
And My year of redemption has come.
