9 Behold, (A)the day of Yahweh is coming,
Cruel, with fury and burning anger,
To make the land a desolation;
And He will exterminate its sinners from it.
10 For the (B)stars of heaven and their constellations
Will not flash forth their light;
The (C)sun will be dark when it rises
And the moon will not shed its light.
11 Thus I will (D)punish the world for its evil
And the (E)wicked for their iniquity;
I will also put an end to the (F)pride of the arrogant
And bring low the (G)lofty pride of the [a](H)ruthless.

and the moon will not give its light.(H)
11 I will punish(I) the world for its evil,
the wicked(J) for their sins.
I will put an end to the arrogance of the haughty(K)
and will humble(L) the pride of the ruthless.(M)
