Isaiah 15:1-3

American Standard Version

15 The ^[a]burden of Moab.

For ^[b]in a night Ar of Moab is laid waste, and brought to nought; for ^[c]in a night Kir of Moab is laid waste, and brought to nought. ²^[d]They are gone up to ^[e]Bayith, and to Dibon, to the high places, to weep: Moab waileth ^[f]over Nebo, and ^[g]over Medeba; on all their heads is baldness, every beard is cut off. ³In their streets they gird themselves with sackcloth; on their housetops, and in their broad places, every one waileth, weeping abundantly.

15 A prophecy^(B) against Moab:^(C)

Ar^(D) in Moab is ruined,^(E)
    destroyed in a night!
Kir^(F) in Moab is ruined,
    destroyed in a night!
²Dibon^(G) goes up to its temple,
    to its high places^(H) to weep;
    Moab wails^(I) over Nebo^(J) and Medeba.
Every head is shaved^(K)
    and every beard cut off.^(L)
³In the streets they wear sackcloth;^(M)
    on the roofs^(N) and in the public squares^(O)
they all wail,^(P)
    prostrate with weeping.^(Q)
